The hunger games is a book with a lot of action and suspence. It is definatley on the the best books i have ever read. it starts with a girl and a boy. The girls name is katniss and tje boys name is peeta. They got picked in a raffle to be in the yearly hunger games. The hinger games is a horrible contset that the capital holds, it is where thry take two kids (a girl and a boy) from each district. The kids are put in an arena and are froced to fight to the death against eachother. Peeta and katniss pretend to fall in love with eachother so that the sponsors will feel simpathy for them. Because there can be only 1 winner. I don't want to give away anymore of the book, because I everyone to read it!!!!

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed The Hunger Games though I found the premise of the contest totally disturbing. I kept wondering what it would be like if Illinois (for example) would send two children (essentially) to fight to death for government services? It is a totally creepy sad thing. But it is also totally within the realm of imagining given how certain folks in the governing parties today try to pit us against each other. Another extended metaphor?
ReplyDeleteI thought the whole reality television thing was pretty stunning, too - the stuff people will do for celebrity and for celebrities is pretty sick.
